  • Education

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Exercise Science in 2006 from Montana state University in Bozeman (Go Cats!). I then went on to the University of Montana in Missoula (Go Griz!) and graduated with a Doctorate’s degree of Physical therapy in 2010. While there, I also completed training to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). In 2018, I emerged from a year-long deep dive into the study of pain neuroscience and complex pain conditions, and became certified as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS).

Honors: Exceptional Achievement Award in ISPI’s Therapeutic Pain Science Certification Program.

  • Clinical History and Approach

I have been practicing as the “Jill of all Trades” for the last 13 years in outpatient settings. It’s been a privilege to hold space for the human lifespan - babies, kids, adults, athletes at all levels, weekend warriors, the aging adult and just about everyone in between. What I am most passionate about, is modernizing the classic physical therapy approach to acknowledge the social, psychological and environmental influences on one’s experience with pain, trauma, and injury state. In order to guide any individual in reaching their full rehabilitation potential, we must take these factors into consideration. And therefore, no 2 treatment plans should ever look the same.

  • This and That

“You can’t do a good job if your job is all you do.” (Katie Thurmes). Outside of physical therapy, I can typically be found chasing my 3 children and husband down the ski hill, to the seaside, from activity-to-activity and occasionally into Sirena’s Gelato. I also love to travel, run, play a song or two on the piano, coach youth athletics and read any literature related to human psychology and social sciences.
